Seven Arrested, Including Mastermind, Over Extortion Attempt at CKD Hospital

In Dhaka, members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested seven individuals, including the alleged mastermind, in connection with an extortion attempt involving physician Dr. Kamrul Islam at CKD Hospital.
According to reports, on April 10, a group of miscreants entered the hospital premises, demanded money, and attempted to create unrest outside the facility. A video of the incident later went viral on social media, triggering widespread public concern across the country.
Following the incident, RAB launched an operation and arrested the main suspect Moin Uddin Moin from Narail District. Six of his associates were also detained in coordinated operations.
List of Arrested Individuals: Moin Uddin Moin (Mastermind), Md. Liton Mia, Md. Sumon, Md. Shawon, Swapan Kazi, Md. Falan & Rubel.
RAB officials stated that legal actions are being taken against those involved in extortion and attempts to create public disorder. They also emphasized that operations against such crimes will continue.
The incident has raised renewed concerns about security in the healthcare sector, particularly regarding the safety of doctors and hospital environments.
