Following the announcement of the 13th National Parliamentary Election schedule, Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has urged all party officials and workers to remove any election campaign materials within 48 hours.

In a Facebook post on 12 December, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman emphasized the party’s readiness to cooperate fully to ensure a free, fair, and successful election. He wrote:

"Yesterday, the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election was announced. Welcome. To make this election fair and successful, we are ready to provide all reasonable cooperation. I appeal to all responsible party officials and workers at every level across the country to remove various campaign materials under their responsibility within 48 hours as per the announced RPO."

The Election Commission (EC) had announced the long-awaited election schedule on 11 December, confirming that the general election and the national referendum will be held on the same day. Ahead of the elections, banners, festoons, billboards, and other promotional materials were installed across the country.

Earlier, on 10 December, the EC’s Deputy Secretary of Election Management, Mohammad Monir Hossain, sent a letter to the Secretary of the Local Government Division. The letter instructed that all campaign materials—including posters, banners, wall writings, billboards, gates, arches, pandals, lighting arrangements, and election camps—must be removed within 48 hours after the schedule announcement, at the responsibility of the candidates or related parties.

The letter also directed all local government bodies, including City Corporations, Municipalities, and Union Parishads, to take necessary measures to ensure compliance.
